Scheduled for May 4, 2017, at 5:30 PM in Jesse Hall 410, the final session of Kinder Postdoctoral Fellow Billy Coleman’s Playing the Past community seminar features the work of the Missouri River Cultural Conservancy, a non-profit and volunteer driven group dedicated to documenting, recording, archiving, and fostering awareness of the history and culture of the Central Missouri River Region. In this unique presentation, MoRivCC represetnatives will share the group’s most significant audio-visual records of songwriters, composers, and artists from the local area, and discuss how their creations facilitate connections between the past and the present.
