Mike Cooper, visionary and founder of MORivCC is stepping back and going into semi-retirement so we’re dedicating our Spring BBQ Fundraising Event to him!

The fun kicks off at noon with a very special open mic hosted by Pippa Letsky. All musicians are welcome to attend and sing a song or two. During this special open mic, bbq will be provided by MORivCC at no charge (donations are encouraged) and there will be plenty of cold drinks and beer available for purchase in the General Store.

At 3pm the Roast begins! Mike has hand selected a few musicians to perform original music that is so important to the history of MORivCC and tell a few stories about their years of friendship with him. We welcome those who’d like to come on stage and tell a few stories and we will also set up a “Roasting Room” that you are encouraged to visit and tell your jokes and stories that will be recorded and he can watch it later!

The General Store will be selling a variety of BBQ and sides during the Roast and Chim’s Thai Kitchen will also be open (operating independently from MORivCC.)

This is one of only two major fundraisers each year and in lieu of gifts, Cooper has requested donations to MORivCC. Donations will be used to purchase new cameras and equipment that will allow us to move more freely within the community to capture video of all types of art and music events and performances in the community. These recordings are vital to what we, as an organization have committed to providing so please consider a donation. If you are unable to attend there is a donate tab on our home page.
